Manufacturer's Description
The Sennheiser RS 140 Wireless Balanced Headphones use a switchable dynamic compression system for excellent sound accuracy and balance control for optimum right/left volume adjustment. The adjustable high output level can compensate for minor hearing loss, and the auto-tuning mechanism with memory function finds crisp, clear music. The self-learning automatic level control provides optimum signal reception. Power comes from NiMH batteries that are recharged by simply putting the headphones on their transmitter base that can be mounted to a wall. A charge lasts for 23 hours. The RS 140 is backed by a two-year warranty.

Clear Sounds & Reception
I purchased these as a present for my dad and upon unwrapping them to charge the batteries, instantly wished I had got them for myself. I tested them around the house and in the garden and only started to experience a little background hiss about 50 yards from the receiver and through about four brick walls! The sound is crisp with plenty of base and seemed equally good for both music and TV/movies. I have owned several wired headphones and was dubious about how a wireless version would compare - let's just say I was pleasantly surprised. The freedom alone is worth the purchase price. I will be buying myself a pair when the next pay check arrives and I suggest you do the same.
Brilliant headphones !!!!!
Just purchased these phones from you and i must sat i was totally blown away with the great sound.Let me start by saying I'm severe to moderately deaf and had all but given up listening to my large cd collection which were starting to gather dust.Id heard they work great with hearing aids what i didn't know until i discovered by accident was they really excel when used with the t switch setting on the hearing aid .Id give them a 10 if i could.

Claustrophobic Headphones
Sennheiser RS 140 Wireless Balanced Headphones I chose these headphones based on the reviews I read online. As they all said; the sound is excellent and via the TV I became aware of many instruments I hadn't hitherto been hearing - so far just what I had expected - I already own a pair of 'in ear' Sennheiser phones for my iPod. But contrary to all the reviews, I find them fairly heavy and very very hot to wear which makes them uncomfortable for long periods. As I bought them especially for listening to concerts and opera on the TV, 2/3 hours at a time is standard. Those who found them "Featherlight" obviously have much stronger necks than mine.
