does not work through the wall
Nice peace of equipment, but when ever you have a wall or door between headset and receiver, it breaks up. If you are around your receiver (computer) in line of sight, no probs. Would not buy again.
Disappointing - don't buy for use with skype
I bought the plantronics to use mainly with skype, I live in the UK but I am from overseas, so I usually spend a lot of time talking to my family. My idea was to be able to walk and do other things while talking, but unfortunately the plantronics doesn't work if you are more than 1 meter away from your computer, so it's the same as if you were using a cord headset! They say in the manual that you can walk about 10 meters away, but if you try that, the call become noisy and starts to fail. I do not recommend to use with the computer.
Easy to use, not great sound quality, wireless range of one room.
Bought the Plantronics Audio 920 to replace my wired headset Logitech Premium Laptop Headset and was happy of how easy it was to use compared to other bluetooth products that are a big hassle to connect but I was disappointed in the sound/mic quality.
Okay lets be fair it's wireless and its not going to be as crisp and good as a 32 British Pounds wireless headset but wished it was a little better.
The sound is okay for a mono headpiece, but the mic according to my skype and msn contacts is considerably poorer then the logitech one. More echo and not as crisp the microphone as well as cutting off one or two words every 3 minutes or so. All and all if you are going to use this headset for long and often VoIP conversations maybe not ideal, but if you are the occasional user this should be suitable for you at a good price.
I disagree with Mrs. V. Corlassoli Correa about the wireless range, it works fine for me around my room up to 6 meters away from my pc, never tried more then that.
