Customer Reviews
Great to be seen by
There are two types of front light. Ones to be seen by, and ones to see by, The Polaris 5 LED is the former, in fact one of the better ones. Its not so hot to see by on unlit roads, but is excellent to bring you to the attention of oncomming vehicles.
The light is easily detachable, and is small and light. Useful as a small torch too.
Great light - rubbish bracket
The light is bright and lasts for a long long time on rechargeable AA batteries, one of the best I've had, but after not too long the bracket snapped. (not the light clip which is strong, nor the tightening mechanism which is good, but the weak ratchet clip that the tongue feeds into). The local cycle shops don't stock it any more. now I just have a spare torch. Whoever makes these, get a website! and start selling spare clips! (with next day delivery)
Brilliant Light, bad designing
***.
I agree totally that the actual light is brilliant, even along country paths.
The bracket on the other hand, isnt as good. I would have thought with such a good light that the bracket would be just as good, but no. After 2 weeks of using it daily (not taking the actual bracket off) the bracket adjuster snapped off, I didnt have it too tight or anything like that, It started coming loose so i went to adjust it. The actual bit where the light clips on to is just as good as the light, just the adjuster is a product of bad design.
