Manufacturer's Description
Learn to ride in 3 easy stages. A unisex bike offering a unique solution for getting your child on a bike quicker. When fitted with the parent handle and stabilisers, it has all the features and benefits of a trike. Remove these and the pedals and it is a "running bike" to teach balance and steering. Refit the pedals and stabilisers and you have a 12" bike. Three important development stages covered in one product.

For 120 years, Raleigh bikes have been created and designed in Nottingham. They carry that legacy into the 21st Century. Today, experienced Product, Graphic and Colour designers work alongside their qualified Design and Production engineers to ensure that every Raleigh bicycle is created, tested and produced to their legacy standard. From Computer Aided Design frame and fork design to ensuring a high quality paint finish, Raleigh are proud of what they do.

Average - Not quite what I would have hoped for from Raleigh3
My 4 year old son has had this bike for just over a year now. The parent handle is really useful as they don't know about brakes when they go off hurtling down a hill! Just as well the parent handle is there because the brakes on this Raleigh bike are virtually non-existent and have very little effect on slowing down the bike. The handle wobbles around - a lot - and I found it difficult to keep tight and because it attaches to the seat then that moves around as well. You can alter the seat height as your child grows however it finds its way back down again within about an hour's use and of course the parent handle height goes along with it. I have my gripes but my son loves it and we've had some happy trips out with it. If you've seen a better review of a similar bike then I'd seriously consider buying the other.

Disapointed1
This bike is far to heavy for it's size at least twice as heavy as other bikes of a similar size and price that I have seen. On the subject of size the bike is described as 12" but the wheels are actualy 10" so It was smaller than I expected. I ended up seling it on to somebody with a two year old, just about the right size for them. The carry handle is not big enough for an adult to get their hand in and as the bike is far to heavy for a child to carry, it's a bit pointless.

Raleigh Chuckles Bike3
The bike arrived with a broken brake which my husband replaced by going to a local bike shop that sells the same product.

The stabilisers are not adjustable and all 3 rear wheels are completely balanced when the bike is being ridden so its not very conducive to learning how to balance.

My grandson, who is 3 yrs, 2 months, thinks it's great and has certainly developed a lot of skill in riding the bike since getting it. Interestingly, he looked at it when it was presented to him without the pedals, which was a feature that I particularly valued, but immediately asked where they were, so they had to be put on, along with the stabilisers.
