DINKY little cast iron casserole from LE CREUSET
in the ever-popular and traditional colour - 'VOLCANIC ORANGE'.

Simply brilliant - this versatile little Casserole Dish/Cocotte is ideal for all sorts of recipes, but my favourite in this particular size, is:-

'Seafood Chowder', turning out comfortable servings for two.

Cast iron retains heat longer than any other cooking material so it is ideal for braising at the lowest of temperatures and, therefore, is very economical, too. Cast iron is remarkably easy to wash up, by hand, too - although some soaking and a rub with a plastic brush may be required for those more stubborn baked-on remains!
Dishwasher safe.

Essential perfection
Le Creuset cast iron cookware is so well known and respected that further praise is hardly needed. So why does not everyone have a set? Maybe the initial cost?(and who buys at list price anyway?) BUT, please note,these items last a lifetime ! This casserole costs less than two pence a week to own !We could improve British cuisine,nutrition and home economy no end if every school leaver was given one of these and a half-hour lesson on how to use it and things to cook. My new little one gets venison and bacon bits tonight!Superb piece of kitchen kit.

there is no better cooking dishes than Le Creuset, you can throw all your other saucepans out as these are low cost to cook with and versatile in the oven or on the hob, they are all i use. Fantastico
