Amazon.co.uk Review
In a nutshell:
The ultimate evolution of virtual pet: Nintendogs gives you opportunity to preen and look after a selection of cute puppies in a virtual home, with virtual currency, where you can buy toys and accessories for their enjoyment. You can clean the pups, feed them, walk them, play catch with them, and even talk to them.

The lowdown:
Nintendogs is brimming with character. Each pup looks out from the DS touchscreen and paws longingly. You can respond to your virtual pet's need of attention by stroking the screen, using items such as balls and brushes with the aid of the stylus, and talking to your dogs through the DS's inbuilt microphone system. Impressive 3D graphics give lifelike animation to these canine wonders.

Most exciting moment:
After a few attempts to speak commands into the microphone, your puppy understands the meaning of "sit", barks approval, and sits down. It's good to talk.

Since you ask:
You can keep three pups in your home at any time. When left to their own devices, they'll play and play-fight together. And they call this 'puppy love'.

The bottom line:
A Nintendog is not just for Christmas.

This is my second Nintendogs game that I've bought. I honestly think that all the Nintendogs are great.

To start off with, you buy one dog from the kennel: there are about five different breeds at the start, but as your Trainer Points increase( you can do raise them by coming in the top three of a competition or teaching your puppy a new command,)more breeds are brought in. When you first buy a puppy, the first thing you must do is teach it his or her name. The name can have eight letters maximum. You must speak not too loudly and not too quietly into the microphone until your puppy has learnt it. Then, you teach your puppy to sit. After you have accomplished these tasks, the game REALLY starts...

You can go out to the shops to buy food, water, collars, ribbons, toys, treats, brushes, frisbees and shampoo. You can also walk your puppy: when planning your route, watch the stmaina metre: it shows you how far your puppy can go. Every time you walk your puppy, the metre increases. When you walk your puppy, if you see a present on the road, pull back on your puppy's lead and it will pick it up: there might be a new toy inside! If you ever have anything you don't need or want, you can sell it at the second hand shop.

Another way to make money is to enter your puppies in contests. For Agility Trials, you practice at the Gymnasium (you can go here on a walk), for Disc Competitions, you can practice in the park(make sure there are no other dogs in the park first), and for the hardest, Obedience Trials, you practice at home. In your supplies, you will have various books telling you more. The Instruction Booklet also gives info, but some things you may just have to work out for yourself.

Over all, this is a brilliant game. If you are looking for a realistic, fun game with good graphics and cute animals, this is the one for you!

This DS game is good (if you like dogs) at first but then after about 1 year, or thereabouts, it gets REALLY boring. I was 9 and a half when I got this game, and when I was about 10 and a bit, I was really bored of it.
What you do is you start of with enough money to buy 1 dog and some food and toys. Then you have to earn some money by doing different contests to get more dogs. You can go out for walks with your dog(s) and the more you go out for walks, the longer your walk can be. On your walks you can pick up presents or see new dogs at the '?' marks, and sometimes random presents on the floor. The game says that your dog or dogs can run away if you don't look after them, but mine haven't and I haven't been on for AGES!
Get this game is you absoulutely love dogs, but other-wise you'll find it boring after a while.

Bit Boring After A While2
Well, not being a spoil sport or anything, but all you do is feed and water your dog and wash it - that's all
