    A stylus wth style...5
I've been meaning to get a tablet for quite some time now, mainly for photo editing work under Win2k but also for general use to replace my existing mouse (although the Wacom will work along side a mouse if you so wish).

My initial concern was what size to get and that the A6 may be too small, but after consulting the Wacom site, its selection guide recommends the A6 over the A5 should you intend to use it for navigating windows as well as photo editing. It turns out that the A6 size is a perfect replacement for the for average mouse mat.

Set-up was straightforward - it was instantly detected upon plugging it into a USB port and worked straight off. Installing the Wacom drivers was painless too, and adds functionality by allowing you to create tablet and tool profiles for different applications.

The stylus comes supplied with spare nibs, and also an optional grip which allows you to remove the switch on the side (this can also be disabled in software if you find that you accidently keep touching it). There is also a handy paperweight type pen holder included in the box, allowing you to store your pen where you find it most convenient, and saving the nib in the process.

Painter Classic and Pen Palette (photographic filter tools) are bundled with the tablet, and once again, they worked straight out of the box.

I was warned before hand that there is a bit of a learning curve switching over to tablets, but after an hour or so with the Wacom, it starts to feel natural ...

    Great for digital photography4
It takes a lot of getting used to and you still need a mouse but working on digital photos is so much easier with this tablet and pen. I can only imagine how good it is if you are actually able to draw (which I can't). I have only touched on the functionality and I am completely sold.
