Great images and 8x Optical zoom
This camera has a large 8x Optical zoom lens, this lets you get extremely close to the "action", and somewhat makes up for the relatively low mp sensor. The camera produces excellent images, with great colour and low noise levels, although sometimes this is ruined by purple fringing. The camera offers excellent value for money - there is very little competition available for this price with an 8x Optical zoom lens. The camera is easy to use and has a good macro mode. Unfortunately the cameras video mode is very limiting (limited to 16seconds with no sound), and the camera is quite bulky compared to the other Olympus cameras.

If you are not interested in the video mode, and want an ultra zoom camera on a limited budget I would recommend this camera!

Wanting.
This is my first digital camera. Its been a revelation in so many respects. The Olympus C-725 is a great beginners camera. It took my about an hour to master how it works, operates, functions etc. The manual is user friendly as is soft wear. The one thing I am frustrated with is the pixel definition-only 3 mp. The quality of the images is not as good as with an S L R camera, something I was hoping would be the case. Serves me right for being a cheap skate and not grading up to 5 mp plus. As for value for money-hey, you get what you pay for.

this is my 1st digital camera its brilliant, easy to use and a nice weight to handle .picture quality is as good or better than more expensive cameras and with such a great zoom i am still learning how to use it but so far brilliant.
