Editorial Reviews

Review
`An enchanting book from the expert the animals choose for
themselves...will touch your heart in the deepest sense.' -- Jacky Newcomb, author of Angels Watching over Me

'A very important book in what is obviously "the century of the animal"...everyone will learn a lot from this forward-looking, inspirational and wide-ranging work. Read it and share it widely, and learn from a woman who has opened up the fascinating world of animals to innumerable people.' -- Marc Bekoff, author of The Animal Manifesto

`If I hadn't watched Margrit working on animals - and witnessed the miraculous effect she has on them - I would find the stories in this book hard to swallow. They are amazing - as she is. This is an extraordinary and heartwarming book that makes you think again about the world around you.' -- Penny Junor, author, writer and broadcaster

`Yet again Margrit finds the compassion and the heartfelt truth about animal communication in this wonderful book, touching the hearts of anyone with a love of animals. Margrit continues to inspire readers and create a better world for our animals - a truly wonderful book!' -- Joanne Hull, author of The Pet Psychic

`In decades to come, they'll look back on this book with incredulity. Just as we now do reading about the early telephone or internet. They will wonder what took us so long to get it! This stuff is intangible, immeasurable, and beyond most of our comprehension, but it's there! Margrit is chronicling reality; manifesting things we all recognise, but can't or won't believe. This book is essential reading for anyone who's ever truly loved an animal.'

Five days after Rusty had arrived at his new home I received an email from Doris that Rusty had run away - she was naturally distraught and asked me if I could help her. The details of what exactly had happened emerged during a phone call later. Rusty had been playing in the fields and a couple in a neighbouring property had been talking to him from over their low garden wall. The dog ran towards them to make a physical contact and despite their warning shout to stay away he leapt up at the wall and immediately received an electric shock. They kept cows and had placed an electric fence along the wall so the cows would not lean over to eat flowers from their garden.

Rusty screamed horrifically and then ran, bolting into the distance as fast as he could to get away from the source of so much pain. He was in no state to listen to Doris pleading with him to come back, and disappeared from view.

For hours Doris and Nic scoured the surrounding countryside, searching woods, fields, ponds and farms. The next day Doris rode one of her horses for miles, all the time hoping that there may be a sighting of him, but there was no sign of Rusty. His previous owners were contacted in case he returned to them, vets informed should someone hand the dog in, and posters put up. Doris cried so much that when she went to meetings she had to wear dark sunglasses to cover her puffy red eyes.

Whenever I tried to reach Rusty telepathically I drew a blank - he was not listening to me; in shock he seemed to have switched off his `radar'. Then I sensed him by a single-storey building where he was foraging for food. Days went by and I could not pick anything up. I tried again one evening, lighting a candle, as staring at a flame helps us to clear our mind and focus on our thoughts. Concentrating, I then sent a message to Rusty in the hope that he could hear me. Could he tell me where he was? The place in my mind where I would expect to receive information from the dog was empty. He was not in communication with me, and by this time Doris and Nic feared the worst - that Rusty had been shot by a farmer or hit by a vehicle. If so, how could they ever get over this tragedy?

The next morning I awoke at around seven and felt Rusty's presence with me. He was alive! Not only could I sense this, I could see him in my mind's eye - a mostly black dog with a long pointed head. Up to this time I had not seen a photo of Rusty but I just knew that this was him. The dog was thin and standing panting and exhausted in a grassy clearing in the middle of a dense wood.

I sent a message. `Rusty, I see you, I hear you. Can you hear me?'

I saw the dog's head turn to look about as he picked up the energy from my words. Then the communication flowed between us like ricocheting bullets. I asked where he had been and he showed me seemingly endless trees. What had he eaten, was he thirsty? A little carrion but there was plenty of water in streams and ponds. What had he been doing? He had run for miles after the incident and was now completely lost. Where had he been for the past five days? Crossing woods and farmland in a depressed and fearful state, sleeping a bit but mostly wandering and trying to pick up scent trails that he recognised.

Then it was as though I was looking at Google Maps and I became orientated with where Rusty was in relation to Doris and Nic's property. He was to the east and it seemed not many miles away from safety, welcome kisses and a good meal.

`Turn around, Rusty, and run west,' I said, then imagined attaching a beam of light between him and his home. Over and over I concentrated on this link and asked that Rusty follow it. I sent an email to Doris, explaining that Rusty had been with me and we had talked. Three hours later she called me: `Rusty is back!' She and Nic had been very sad that morning to wake again with no dog to greet them, but later, on opening the front door, were amazed to find Rusty sitting there, weak but otherwise unharmed. It was marvelous news.

Some months later I visited after a book launch in Germany and recognised Rusty immediately as the dog that I had `seen' and helped guide home. When I greeted him he had a puzzled look in his eyes, and I sensed that he was wondering where we had met before. To help out I recalled the image of a dog lost in woods and how we met there through the angel network. Rusty responded by leaping up and playfully placing a paw on each of my shoulders, before licking my nose - it was a grateful doggy hug...
