Truly excellent book
Of all the personal development books I have studied over the last 25 years this is probably the most effective.
The point that a lot of books like this miss is that you need to take action. It is all very well learning what to do but you have to do it.
The Slight Edge teaches us that every step we take moves us either closer or further away from our goal. It's easy to think that the small steps don't matter. Every night we decide to skip that vitamin or not bother reading a book that improves us wont make a difference that day but day after day it will make a difference.
This book show how to break goals down into small steps and motivates to keep going when it appears no progress is being made.
Written in an easy to read style with some touching stories and some startling financial facts this book will stay with you and enhance any other books you read.
Seeing's believing, but feeling's the truth
Picture yourself doing daily exercise and eating a good balanced diet, as well as spending quality time with your family and friends, now there's more; imagine yourself reading 10 or more pages of a quality book that makes a real difference to your life... wouldn't life be amazing!! Now imagine yourself overweight, not your own fault of course, it's just that you can't help but eat food that is not good for you (easy to do and equally not easy to do!), because you never seem to have the time to relax with your family and enjoy a nice healthy meal. You may also be stuck in the same job, with no career progression, whilst people all around you are earning more and reading material that is helping them move in the right direction, yet you enjoy reading your Mills & Boon, nothing wrong with that, as you have been reading them all your life and you do not know better. Now which life out of the two would you like?
A great book, which continually emphasis the fact, that the choices we make in life can either move us upwards and onwards or alternatively move us downwards, towards ill health, unhappiness and a life of what if's.
After reading this book you will continually be questioning yourself about the choices you have made during the course of the day! Has it helped or hindered me? Yet the results will not be visible immediately, but over time, perhaps when it's too late you may realise all the bad habits you picked during the course of your life have finally caught up with you.
Therefore, can you afford not to have the Slight Edge? The choice as usual is yours.
Life changing
An absolute fantastic book It has changed and continues to change my life, It really all make sense, It's all about doing a little bit each day to become better and gain that slight edge, an example is read 10 pages of a good book each day (thats a development book not a fiction book), It's easy to do and easy not to do if you read just 10 pages by the end of the year you would have read around 15 to 20 books, make this book the book you read 10 pages of per day.
It's helped me in my business MoneyMakerSite co uk and if you run a business it can help you too! as well as your personal life.
It will change your life but only if you do those small things everyday.
