Marvelous!! If only today's children's programmes could be more like this...
I'd never seen Bagpuss (living in the US). But reading the reviews and the description made me buy it for my very young son. He doesn't watch tv yet (my decision), but as we don't have cable/satellite, I want a good collection of appropriate dvds when he's old enough.

These shows are wonderful. The animation (stop-action has always been my favourite), the script, the songs-- just first rate. Nothing like Oliver Postgate's work here in the US, then or now. Just the right length for young attention spans. Can't wait to watch this with the little one!

Bagpuss hasn't aged. Visit him in Canterbury!
I bought this with an Amazon token on my 30th birthday! Only 13 episodes were ever made so you get everything on this DVD. Currently it's selling for 3 GBP - what a bargain!
Good, clean, timeless classic.
Visit Bagpuss in the Museum of Canterbury - what a joy to see the shopfront! It's a shame about the recent death of the creator. Long live Bagpuss!
Parents, grandparents - buy this DVD for your kids!

I rate this as the best kids show EVER!
Petend you have kids, I bought this because I am a bagpuss fan and even though I am 36 and was single when I bought this I was not discouraged. It brought back my childhood and triggered many great memories of the 70's when my late mother would watch bagpuss with me, heck even my dad likes it. It even helped me nab a girlfriend as after I told her "just because I own the Complete Bagpuss on DVD, I am not a soft touch!" mind you As I work in a nursery this may play a Part.
