Customer Reviews

Disappointed3
None of the episodes have the original theme tunes, presumably because the budget DVD company couldn't afford to licence them (?). This really detracts from the episodes, unfortunately. A shame they couldn't be bothered to get it right.

Great show, Bad DVD3
I don't know what the fascination is at the moment for great 80's kids programmed to be released on DVD in contorted and unoriginal states but it is mightily frustrating.

Penny Crayon comes without any theme tunes or titles with just unintroduced stories starting up. The shows themselves are great as they always were, but part of the reason for such DVD releases is to own shows in their entirety - to reflect on the way programmes were presented, not solely for their content.

Fans of the show will enjoy the DVD, but the frustration of still not actually being able to watch the show as it originally aired prevents a recommendation on this title.

How cool is this!!!4
Recently there has been a load of old kids cartoons from the 80s and 90s released on DVD, and best of all is Penny Crayon! She's the one who hangs around at school with her best mate Dennis and draws things that become real. Its a classic cartoon, so funny and nostalgic too. The DVD comes with 4 episodes but you dont get any theme music! Hence only 4 stars! Tut tut. Its great though- buy it.
