Synopsis
Adventures with the muscle-bound Eighties cartoon hero. Prince Adam and his cowardly cat Cringer can use a magic sword and the power of the mystical Castle Greyskull to transform into the mighty hero He-Man and his ferocious feline steed, Battle Cat. Along with friends such as Orko, Teela and Man-At-Arms they battle the evil forces of the fiendish Skeletor.

mmm he-man
Did anyone else ever notice that at the end of nearly each episode (or enough to make it a trend) Skeletor would say 'Ah He-man' and run away and everyone would just let him? Say something witty and then laugh?
And there were a lot of body builer type of guys in skimpy clothes with kinda wrestler names, was it just me or did it seem just a bit homoerotic/gay?
I enjoyed it tho, i thought it was funny as hell, and the cat was my favourite, tho Shera was a bit of goody goody pain in the rear.
He-man's hair was definetly girly, I realise its meant to be a medeival page boy look, but how would a five year old know that, and he wore pink :)
Not trying to diss the big guy (or his fluffy pants) just havin a bit of fun at his expense, and thats wat He-man's about anyway having fun :)
My favourite bit was (u know it, say it with me) 'I Have The Power!'

The Power has returned
Lets face it He-Man's of recent years has failed to create the cult following the 80's series produced.
He-man of the *0's has returned not to help flagging viewer numbers but I think anyone who tries to re-create He-Man of the 80's would need the old team back which would take years to track down plus some actor etc, many have died or moved on and up since the golden age of kids toons.

This boxset is a great small set from the best He-Man ever everyone know the story but this He-Man set many things going like the spin of She-Ra and the feature film and truck loads of action figures.

This is He-Man a third boxset is about to be relised which will take the volume up to 9 but you also may buy the entire season 1 boxset with the entire 130 episodes.

But before all that is possible this boxset is a great way to see the best from the 80's once again.

So buy this and see how the new match up.

Just as I remembered it.....
.... perhaps better! He-man was a favourite amongst my brother, sister and I almost 20 years ago and this DVD is a fantastic souvenir of that time. I have purchased it for the kids now as they have never seen it, and the quality is perfect. The story is still great and each episode entertaining with the classic life lesson intact at the end of each episode.

Enjoying it all just as much second time round!
