Synopsis
By the time this fifth DUKES OF HAZZARD series aired in 1982, Bo and Luke had been written out of the script, as original actors John Schneider and Tom Wopat moved on to other projects. But to Boss Hogg's (Sorrell Booke) dismay, they've been replaced by Bo and Luke's cousins Coy (Byron Cherry) and Vance Duke (Christopher Mayer), who arrive in town to help Uncle Jesse (Denver Pyle) run his farm. Bo and Luke's absence is explained they've joined the NASCAR circuit but things remain essentially the same in Hazzard County, as Coy and Vance fulfill their absent cousins' roles of thwarting Boss Hog's devious deeds at every available opportunity. The entire fifth series of the show is included on this release.

another Classic Duke season
The Dukes return for more 'Shuckin' and Jivin' Bo and luke have gone on the Nascar circuit so say hello to cousins Coy and Vance Duke (played wonderfully by Byron cherry and Christopher Mayer) classic episodes such as 'Vances lady' and Witness Uncle Jesse'(in which Uncle Jesse is temporarily blinded after witnesseing, and trying to stop a mugging, hitting his head on the pavement) ensure this is an unforgettable season.
