Another fun season with the folk of hazardous Hazzard!
Every episode of this much-loved TV show with its beloved characters guarantees fun, laughter, drama, action and stunts! It's entertainment at its best.
Sorrell Booke is great as the humourously evil Boss Hogg who continues to scheme to frame the Duke family with the help of his bumbling stooge Rosco. Of course greedy Hogg always wants more and more samolians (the slang for dollars) and drives around Hazzard in his white Cadillac De Ville convertible. James Best is also great as the loveable dimwit Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane and it's always funny listening to his trademark "kew kew kew"! Sorrell Booke and James Best have good chemistry and are a great comedy double-act.
There is a lot happening in this Series 6 DVD which has some fresh and new stories as well as all the action, suspense, intrigue and humour from Hazzard.
There are many good episodes this season too. Some include:
"A Baby for the Dukes" in which the Dukes help out a young woman who hides her baby in the General Lee to prevent it's paternal grandfather from abducting the infant. The baby's mother is played by Janeen Best, daughter of James Best.
In "Too Many Roscos" James Best superbly plays a dual role when Rosco is abducted and replaced by a dead ringer as part of a plot to heist an armoured-truck shipment.
In "Targets: Daisy and Lulu" Boss and Rosco are very funny when they dress up as women to look like Lulu and Daisy so as to help the Duke boys catch jewel thieves!
In "Twin Trouble" two beautiful identical twin dolls trick Bo and Luke by establishing alibis for jewel thefts - when one twin is with Bo, the other twin is stealing jewels - but the Duke boys are unaware of the other twin's existence!
In "High Flyin' Dukes" Daisy helps a friend by dusting Boss Hogg's farm - with a mixture Boss has secretly laced with poison so he can sue for damages and collect the insurance money! "Hello insurance company! Goodbye Dukes!"
The extras on this Series 6 DVD set are: "Back Where We Started: The Real Hazzard County" which is a tour of the original Hazzard County in Covington, Georgia with Ben Jones (Cooter) and Sonny Shroyer (Enos). Also included is the feature "General Lee: The Legendary Charger: The History and Design of the Awesome Automobile".
THE DUKES OF HAZZARD SERIES 7 (UK version) is finally coming to DVD on 22 September 2008 at a much lower price than the other imported region 2 version.
season 6 of the dukes.
It's a busy season for the dukes, Luke finds out his baby brother Jud didn't perish in the hospital fire that claimedtheir mother life. Jud returns and there is drama a plenty as the two brothers reunite.
Also this season, look out for Boss and Roscoe well, not exactly dressed like how you'd expect. In heiress Daisy Duke, theres jealousy afoot as mistaken identity and hypnotism leads to Daisy inheriting a fortune.
Another great season and a classic show. get to to know the duke all over again....and again.
