Synopsis

Every DANGER MOUSE episode, but all mixed up!
I used to watch this when first on TV & the re-runs. It first used to be shown in 5 minute episodes daily so odds are you'll miss one & find the series hard to follow as I did. Now every Danger Mouse minute is on this DVD set, the 5 minute parts are edited back into a full story. Following seasons changed the format around adding to the confusion. But there is still a real MESS with stories not in the real order of showing, ie the unhelpfully un-numbered discs, the first one 'ROGUE ROBOTS' features 6 from 1981 series 1, 2 from 1982 series 3 & one from series 10 from 1992! The disc titles do match up (almost, typos excepted) with IMDB listing for the show, so if you know how, make your own chronological set! I don't like watching things out of their correct order, spoils the flow! 5 Stars for the show, for the set itself, well...

A Missed Opportunity.
DangerMouse is without a doubt, one of the greatest Cartoons (British or otherwise) ever made. All 116 (89 when edited together) are packed with comic pratfalls for the kids, and puns that'll have adults groaning in the aisles. Lets face it, if your looking at this review, then you know what the product is so I need not elaborate.

However this is a missed opportunity. This Box-Set is a sham, being quite literally all the previous DVD's being released as one(most of which I'd allready got). There is nothing New added to this "25th Aniversary" edition, that hasn't been released before. Extras include dated Interviews, a few pictures and a few less than enticing DVD games. Granted I can't really think what I would have wanted instead but I still feel underwhelmed. I'd be happy ( at least more so than I am) if they'd even put them in correct cronological order.

To Sum Up:
Buy this set, you will enjoy it but don't expect anything other than the episodes. An let's be fair: That Is What We're After.

The Complete DM
I absolutely love this set!!! DangerMouse was a huge part of my childhood (I'm now late 20s) and it's great that every episode is now available... probably worth clearing this up - there were 161 episodes originally but some of them were 5 minute serials of a story, which have been edited together to form one longer episode, hence just the 89... (hope that made sense!)

It's fantastic that I'm now able to share these with my friends and family (old and young), and I have to say the humour hasn't dated at all - in fact I'm laughing at more now then I ever did!
