Synopsis
From the Overlook Hotel in THE SHINING to the Bates Motel in PSYCHO, inns haven't gotten a good rap in the world of books and film. In THE LOST ROOM, the Sunshine Motel doesn't fare much better. Decades ago, supernatural forces transformed Room 10 at the motel into a cache of magical power in which each object in the room can do something special. Detective Joe Miller (Peter Krause, SIX FEET UNDER) discovers a mysterious key that changes his life. His daughter (Elle Fanning, BABEL) disappears into the room, and the key is the only thing that can help Joe find her again. But he isn't the only one who wants the precious objects, causing hordes of obsessive collectors to descend on him. With its labyrinthine plot and imaginative premise, THE LOST ROOM garnered praise from critics and audiences alike. This Sci-Fi channel miniseries also stars Julianna Margulies (ER), Kevin Pollak (THE USUAL SUSPECTS), and Roger Bart (DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES).

Very watchable4
This is a really entertaining concise series. Peter Krausse is as good as ever.
This knocks socks off 'Heroes'

Amazingly good!5
What if God died in a motel room, and his corpse dissolved into the things there, imbuing each with one with a different power to alter reality? Uncliched and classic - the grown up successor to oldies like The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits.

WOW5
This series is simply stunning. I was sucked in from the very moment I started watching and couldn't take my eyes away from the screen. The story is based around a number of ordinary-looking items which have mysterious powers. These objects are all linked to a burned-down hotel room, accessible by a magic key. I don't want to spoil it by saying much more, but this really is addictive viewing. The ideas explored in this series are really interesting, and it is compelling to the end. The only bad thing is that the series is so short - only 6 episodes. As a naturally curious and inquisitive person I like to know as many details as I can and find out everything that is going on, and sadly there was not enough time for the writers to show us viewers exactly what all of the items do.
Highly recommended and well worth watching.
