As always belkin have the goods. A must if working with figures on a laptop.

Bellkin mobile numeric keypad on Mac4
I bought this solely to use on a MacBook Pro (running OS 10.5) to use on Sibelius (currently 6.1), since the alternative key combinations on the main keyboard are a nuisance to use. For that purpose it is basically fine, with the exception that the Enter key is defaulted to operate as a Return, instead of a proper Enter, which results in those numeric commands not operating correctly in Sibelius (but there is a key alternative which works instead). I read some Sibelius user comments on the Sibelius site which suggested that a more expensive numeric keypad (and there are several around) might work properly on the Enter, but decided to risk the possibility that this one would not, since it is so cheap. Apparently it's very difficult to tell in advance with most cheap numeric keypads how they will be set up, and this feature can in any case change when an updated model is brought out. It is extremely easy to connect up to the MacBook, which recognises its presence straight away, but just has to be told it is a keypad (mine didn't seem to get as far as that detail) and thereafter it worked fine. When disconnected and reconnnected at a later time it didn't need to be reconfigured. Bill, London October 2009

Excellent full-funciton numeric pad5
Slim, light but full of functionality. This pad gives the power of a standard keyboard numeric pad, not just number keys. It has really made my laptop easy to use with applictions that are controlled by the numeric pad.
