Customer Reviews
Be aware these are NOT REAL SONY HEADPHONES
These are NOT real Sony headphones. The seller has explained this, of sorts, in the item description. However, it's very easy to miss this fact (as I did). Also, I think it's important to note that these DO NOT "Work, Sound and Look Like Original Sony Headphones". They are poor-to-mediocre quality replicas that look fairly convincing but do not sound anything like the real deal. Kudos to the seller for at least making some kind of effort to clarify that they are not the real thing, but, just like the sound from these headphones, it's not exactly "crystal clear".
FYI:
- Real Sony MDR-EX71's use a 'pinhole diaphragm', which means that the circular cover of the 'phone (visible when you remove the rubber earbud) is black felt-like material with a tiny hole in the middle. These replicas have a wire mesh covering.
- Real Sony MDR-EX71's come with three sizes of rubber earbud, these come with just one.
- Real Sony MDR-EX71's have a cable covering made of soft, malleable rubber. These are made of shiny plastic.
- Real Sony MDR-EX71's have a powerful, bassy sound and excellent clarity. These replicas have a mediocre 'tinny' sound with little bass drive.
Only buy these 'phones if you want a bargain-basement pair of earphones that look like real Sony's and cannot spare the extra few quid to buy the real deal. If you want real Sony quality, buy the real Sony headphones, which are excellent.
I'm currently pursuing a refund from the seller and will be sending mine straight back.

Stay well away
As said by the last reviewer, there aren't the real Fontopia headphones. I bought them mistakenly thinking they were genuine fontopias for an amazingly cheap price (My second pair just got destroyed by a chair :( ) and bought them.
They arived and I thought they looked somewhat unusual, I plugged in and was greeted to music that sounded like it was played through a baked bean can. The music was quiet, Tinny and bassless, the headphones build quality was appauling, they arrived and the headphones were falling apart (The rubber covering to the earbuds had stripped off), the rubber on the wire end of the jack looked like it had been PVA'd onto the wire (and was twice the size of the genuine article) and the wire was a horrible semi-rigid plastic.
All in all, you're better off paying the £20 for the genuine thing and getting the real 'buds, tips and wire bag/box.
All in all, a poor copy with substandard build quality and sound quality.
