Enjoyable
Not a full orchestra here just Baby friendly reproduction. The wee one loves it.
Baby Bach
It is never to early!
Contains most of the best-loved tunes and nuances of harmony and counterpoint, making them familiar to my babies everywhere, as I also received Bach with my mother's milk - it is as natural as the sounds of wind and waves.
The pitch of the instruments are just right for very young ears. Babies would enjoy the stimulus of hearing the music, and they would pick up on the familiarity of the melodies later on.
Poor selection of themes
I am not sure what was the intention of the people who selected the songs for this album, as they are practically all so melancholic and outright sad in some cases that it invariably makes my son want to cry.
My 20-month old is a great fun of Baby Einstein, videos and albums since he was 6 months old. His favorites being Numbers, World Animals, Baby MacDonalds, Baby DaVinci, etc. But he cannot stand Baby Bach.
I heard all the album myself thinking that maybe it was only a few themes that were melancholic, waiting to find for example happier songs like small minnuets and rondos from Bach (like the ones in the Anna Magdalena book). But, no.
And the DVD is just as melancholic and sad. I wouldn't buy either of them again
