Wonderful
This is a simply fantastic idea - take the already excellent LeapPad and extend it by adding in a great writing mode. My four-year-old son adores it - it is wonderful to watch him sit down and play for ages at a time.

As ever, you are dependent on the quality of the books but they are generally of a very good quality - durable, educational and enjoyable.

If you were thinking of buying a LeapPad then I would recommend this one above all the others.

Leap Pad- What fun!!
I bought this item for my less than enthusistic 4 year old hoping it may encourage writing skills. We already had the original Leap Pad for my 7 year old which was well used and loved, but we were so impressed with the technology!!
The "Writing Plus" is so very interactive, it can tell when the pen is still on the page and continues to make little sounds thoroughly entertaining my Son...great for a 4 year old who has little pencil control!!
My 7 year old is even more interested in it. I just wish these were about 30 odd years ago, it would have been great to have such learning equipment when i was younger. Top Marks!!

Excellent toy - keeps the kids quiet for hours!
My 4 year old thinks this is the bees knees. Her older sister has the original version which is good, but with the addition of a real writing pencil the new one is even better. She loves being able to practice her letters and numbers, she can control the alphabet song and pinch her sister's Finding Nemo book!

Well worth the money.
