Customer Reviews
Great idea, but far too bright!
My daughter is just getting to the age (3 1/2) when she's afraid of the dark, and having seen these in the Guardian in an article about nightlights thought they sounded perfect.
The idea is really excellent - you can use the light as a torch (to have a peek around the room if you're feeling scared in the night, or need to go to the loo), or park it in its stand and it becomes a nightlight. You don't leave the the charger plugged in when in use, so you can have the light in any part of the room. The batteries seem to hold their charge really well after a charge during the day every few days.
The only thing I don't like about this light is that it's quite a harsh, unnatural light (the bulb is a white LED, I think) and it really is very bright, I would find it difficult to sleep with this next to me. My daughter seems ok with it, but I would prefer her room a bit darker. The Cars Projector Go Glow that my son has is a much gentler light, so I don't know if other designs would be better.
brilliant
I bought my son and daughter one of these go-glow lights each for christmas. I had read mixed reviews, some said they were really good but a lot of people claimed that they don't hold their charge/they won't charge/not very bright etc.. I can tell you that my 2 children love them(one is 2 and the other is 6!). Every morning I put them back on the base and turn them off and by bedtime they are fully recharged and easily bright enough for childrens' bedrooms. The longer they are on for obviously the dimmer they get, however my son insists on taking his to bed and very often when I go and check on him some 3 hours later the torch is still on in his cot shining brightly! They are also tough as my son uses his as a drumstick on the side of his cot!!I would definately reccommend them as they are fantastic value for money..no more buying batteries after a few hours play!!
fans of nightgarden
Bought for my grandson's 2nd birthday. He loves it, comforts him at bedtime, and he loves to pull apart the torch section too.
