Nothing like the cute cover!1
The cover of this DVD is so cute! HOWEVER it is completely misleading and nothing like the images on the DVD inside. Complete false advertising. The DVD is made up of dance footage and computer generated images from the 1980s, big hair, cheesey smiles and lots of sparkly spandex from middle America. It's very dissapointing especially given the description on the cover and cute cover photo - it could be so good. Can't believe I wasted my money on this and can't even return it now. Please don't make the same mistake!

Great fun for the little ones.5
I honestly cannot understand the one star reviews for this dvd. Yes it is American, and yes it looks like it was recorded in the 80s, but so what? It is packed full of dancing. My little girl loves it.

We have three ballet dvds in total, and this is by far the most popular. The other ones we felt were complete cons. They contained footage of a family going to visit a ballet shop. It was only much later that the dancing began. Boring! This is the only one of the three DVDs that my girl requests regularly. The other two have quickly gathered dust.

The layout of this DVD is more or less as follows:Dance instructor introduces herself and the dancers.

They perform simple routines, which gradually increase in complexity.

They finish with a dance routine.

At no time do we see them getting dragged around a shop or anything else which is just padding.

This DVD represents great value for money and is well worth a look. Ignore the 1 star reviews who seem put off by the fact that it is American.

My first ballet lesson1
What a disappointment!!! The cover is totally misleading. The picture quality is very poor and the dubbing is terrible. I wasn't expecting to see very dated, cheesy American dancers. The whole DVD is awful. Not recommended.
