Manufacturer's Description
This adorable feline is no ordinary kitty. Lulu My Cuddlin’ Kitty pet acts just like a real kitty when you pet her. She purrs, rolls back and looks into your eyes to let you know how much she loves you. Give her lots of love and affection by petting her soft fur. Then watch her come to “life” as she opens and closes her eyes, moves her head and even “purrs.” She even comes with a comb to keep her looking her best and a special adoption certificate that means you can be the best of friends forever. Lulu My Cuddlin’ Kitten is a wonderful way to encourage imaginative play. A great toy for children with an interest in animals.

Subsitiute Pet
I bought this for my daughter's 8th birthday as she'd seen it advertised and pester power won! This toy is much better than having a real cat but hasn't held her interest very well. It seems to get played with for only a few minutes a day and then left on a chair. This cat is very hard and therefore not cuddly or suitable for carrying around which young children want to do with their animals. It is quite realistic with the way it purrs and responds to touch but is expensive for how much it is played with.
My daughter loves it - I'm not convinced!
My 4 year old loves the daily challenge of carrying our (real) cat around, so I thought the appeal of this for her birthday would 'help'!!
LuLu is a life size motorised cat, and my daughter loves it. She carries it about, carries it to bed, and is rewarded with miaows, purrs and movement. She loves it, and really thats all that counts.
But I'm not convcinced though - it is hard bodied, has a noisy motor so you hear all the whirring and moving, and is limited in its moves and interactivity. The fur is also not as soft as it could be. I find it annoying actually, and think for the price tag, there could be a lot more to it.
Anticipating a big hit
I've got this toy for my 3 year old for xmas. We're early December here, so she's not seen it yet, but I felt the previous review might put folk off what i anticipate to be a really big hit. I would say it is for 3 to 5 year olds. I'm sure older children will love it, but I expect that the novelty will wear off quicker.
From what I've seen, its very convincing and very endearing. Its movements are spookily realistic. It does make a motor noise when it moves but I don't think thats a problem. Everyone in my office has had a play with it and they were all impressed.
It is a bit dear, but I got it on offer at £37 and I'm happy that I've got value for money.
