sleek, light, so far so good5
Does what it says on the box. Have only had it for a month but very happy with it so far; no problems. the five year warranty is also a nice perk!

Extremely compact, easy to use and fast. Back up software is superb and makes automatic incremental backups wworking in the background. It was the right choice for me.

    All is (not) lost!5
Everything was going well with this drive until this morning, when I plugged it in only to get a worrying clicking sound. A bit of googling uncovered the "click of death" which seems to happen to most brands of hard drive (depending on who's writing about it, different brands seem to be more prone to this than others). As I use the drive for my music and photo collections, I feared that I'd lost the lot.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, it turns out that the drive isn't failing - it looks like it couldn't draw enough power from my laptop (not the one I usually use with this drive). As this drive has no external power supply (one of the reasons why I bought it), it's dependent on the USB link for its power. I found a couple of forum posts on the web that described drives that appeared to have the "click of death" that worked perfectly when plugged into different machines or USB ports.

So, overall, it's a great drive - quick to use and small enough to slip into a pocket. I don't know what the non-titanium versions of this drive look like, but I'm not sure that the "luxurious soft-touch finish" is worth an extra £20 or so... it just looks like a matt finish to me, and feels rather plasticky. Even though it might be a little on the pricy side, I'd still recommend this.

If you've got one and think it might be dying, try plugging it into a different PC/laptop before you give up all hope!
