Do what thou wilt!5
This is strange music. Imagine the effects of medieval black death sweeping across Europe. Imagine dancing to poetry under the summer sun. Imagine cathedrals full of sadness. Imagine a black angel from hell, depraving and devouring all in her way.

Musically this project is at times bombastic militant, at times very acoustic and mellow. Together they use a lot of electronic keyboards but also a lot of unusual acoustic ones. Echoes, samples, layeres vocals add to the strangely beautiful music. The male part of TMLHBC is Albin Julius, who went on to do his own project Der Blutharsch. The female part is Alzbeth who does all the singing, sometimes in latin and other European languages, sometimes in multiple layers creating astonishing chants and choirs that make you feel like being in a cathedral after dark. The lyrics are focused around medieval events, things like the plague, death, religion, romance, mysticism and more horrible slow agonizing death. Some songs are very haunting and eerie, some are brighter and almost cheerful. I recommend you play this album in the dark with some candles lit and lots of alcohol for full effect.

In one song they use the famous line from Aleister Crowley which pretty much sums this album up: Do what thou wilt!
