An unexpectedly casual shoe from Dr Martens with emphasis placed on comfort and style. Tough, grained waxy leather upper with decorative stitching. Padded fabric insole and a tough moulded composite sole. One for the discerning DM fan Dr. Martens is the stuff of legends. It all began in the town of Seeshaupt, Germany (near Munich) in 1945, when Dr. Klaus Maertens injured his foot in a skiing accident in the Bavarian Alps. To facilitate walking during the healing process, he designed a shoe with an air cushioned sole. By using old rubber tires, he constructed soles that had air trapped within closed compartments. He showed his prototype to an inventor friend and the rest as they say is history!

Great Quality Shoes
Good quality Dr Martens shoes. The grip and soles are hard wearing rubber, so won't wear away after a few months. Very light and comfortable.

I changed the low quality laces to a decent pair, otherwise i'm very happy. Great value for money.

Quality shoes
As you would expect from Doc Martens, these are comfortable, with a great grip on the soles. They also look stylish and having worn them for a while, I am pleased that they show no signs of losing shape. They are also quite light.
