Good for wide feet!
I usually have considerable difficulty finding non-toe-post sandals because I have wide (G) feet. On the strength of two earlier reviews, and the fact that I regularly wear women's DMs and was confident of my size, I chose these and they are a perfect fit. They seem to be beautifully made, as well. The colour (violet) is typically somewhat peculiar - about half way in between dark brown and ox-blood, but that's DMs for you.

i have rather wide feet and these sandals are an excellent fit.
they are very sturdy, yet comfortable and soft. i look forward to the rain stopping so i can wear them more.

Odd Shape and Unclear on Amazon
Online shoe buying is tricky at the best of times, but here is a classic example of why amazon should pay attention to their brands' descriptions. This shoe, though beautiful and extremely durable, has a very high upper - and as such would be perfect for those with high arches or a lot of width. Until a feature is available whereby the merchant provides size measurements of these dimensions, buying this shoe could end in disappointment. The Chantell DM design (I have just been and done the old-skool thing of trying one on in the Covent Garden store) is a much more generic upper shape so better for more feet, and a flat sole rather than moulded heel to allow for slight differences in size.
