Amazon.co.uk Review
Alphabet Pal, the brightly coloured pull-along caterpillar, is a wonderful way to introduce children of 1 to 3 years to learning in a fun and enjoyable manner. When pulled along, he wobbles and sings the "Happy ABC Song" and his antennae light up. There is also a variable volume control and an automatic shut off when the toy has not been in use for 30 seconds (a saving grace for parents).
Turn the activity dial and hear the names of the letters of the alphabet when Alphabet Pal's feet are pressed. Turn the dial again and pressing his feet will now let you hear the sound each letter makes. Turn it a third time and learn the colours of the feet.
The toy has been specifically and creatively designed to develop motor skills, language, reasoning and perceptual skills while children explore in a fun and imaginative way. Accompanying the toy is a parents' guide and instruction manual, which is very clear, straightforward and easy to follow.
According to Michael Wood, president of LeapFrog: "You are your child's most important teacher ... this toy can help build an environment that nurtures and fosters your child's growth and development."
Supplied with demonstration batteries only, requires 3 AA batteries.

Customer Reviews
Alphabet Pal
My son was introduced to his Alphabet Pal at 14 months and they have been inseperable ever since. At first he simply enjoyed pulling the caterpillar along, watching it move. Now age 2 he has learnt the colours, is beginning to learn the letter sounds and tries to sing along to the alphabet song, which has a simple 'catchy' tune. The automatic shut off and volume control are an essential component of this toy saving not only batteries but a parent's sanity.
