Clever technology and good design
I bought this as a replacement for an earlier Waveceptor model - once you're used to having a watch that keeps perfect time automatically, you don't want to go back to using a normal one. First impressions are positive; if anything it looks a little better in real life than in Amazon's photo and the quality seems generally improved over the (slightly "plasticky") old model. It's not made of solid metal, as is might appear, but that does at least mean it's lightweight and comfortable, and the brushed finish looks good anyway. The controls are pretty easy to operate once you've looked at the manual.
It's reassuring to see that Casio has redesigned the attachment for the strap, as that's what broke first on my old one, but I'm still a bit concerned about how long the strap itself is going to last. Also, don't buy this if you need it to work outside western Europe as it's only programmed to receive the time from a limited number of transmitters. Other than that, I have no hesitation in recommending this.

Casio WVA-470E-1AVEF Mens Combi Resin Strap watch
Well, for starters, this rating I have given for this watch is largely based on what I got for the amount I paid for it. This watch when it first arrived at my door and I took it out the packaging, turned out to be far lighter and plastic feeling than it looks. There is no metal in this watch. That was my only disappointment.

Other than that, it is lightweight, accurate, solar powered and has given me no issues whatsoever. It keep day light savings time, it checks the "casio tower" every morning to make sure, the time is correct and corrects the time automatically.

I paid £35 for this watch, including postage, and for that little money, it is a great bargain. Just don't expect something heavy and solid :o)

a very goog all round watch
I was very impressed to see the hands go whizzing round to the correct time as soon as I got this watch out of the box. i have had it for three weeks now and cannot really fault it. It keeps perfect time and despite living in devon it seems to pick up the time signal without a problem. It looks good and needs very little light to charge itself up. The hands are very luminous , even the second hand can be seen going round in the pitch black. If there is a fault then it is the brightness of the light display for the digital time which could do with being a tiny bit brighter. Excellent all round watch which looks good too.
