    Excellent educational toy5
My daughter has just turned 3 so has just reached the age threshold for this system. Already she is starting to master the movements of Winnie The Pooh (cartridge that comes with it), really enjoys the interactions she gets and has wanted to play on it every day. She loves the shape matching game! The major advantage of having cartridge based educational games is the fact that all the voice and sound is very very clear, which is a vast improvement on a lot of educational toys such as alphabet "speak and spells", which at best sound like Metal Mickey! I have found that sometimes those types of educational toys seem to make it more difficult for your kid to actually hear the word/letter as it should be spoken. Also 10/10 to the manufacturers for their thoughtful approach of ensuring English pronunctiations, even though you'd expect a Disney game to be full of American pronunctiations. For example the narrator pronounces vase as "v-ar-z" instead of the expected American "v -AA - z" and z is "zed" not "zee". So as long as your Tele has a Scart socket or a composite video in you are away! The only drawback is that I would recommend purchasing a 300mA 9V adapter (available from places such as Maplin) so that you don't need to keep replacing the 4 type C batteries, which can be expensive. Highly recommended.

A good buy but 3 year olds may struggle4
I bought this so that my 3 and 5 year old girls could play games downstairs instead of on the PC in the bedroom and could play 2 player games to stop the squabbling about whose turn it is. My 5 year old has taken to it happily and plays the Pooh game right through(about 20 mins), but my 3 year old hasn't the patience to master the joystick moves and just gives up. She plays the 'fix the window game' which involves pressing the correct colour buttons, and can beat her sister at it, but it is a very short game. One nice touch is that in the full Pooh bear game the two player option involves the players each completing a different section of the course to get a combined score which avoids an older child always beating a younger one when playing together. Hopefully my 3 year old will grow into it and the games for older children will keep the interest of my 5 year old so on the whole this has been a good buy.

Ps I also bought the Care Bears game but it is quite dull and they never ask for it.

Fantastic present for my 3yr old son5
He is 3 getting on for 4 and loves this toy, the controls are easy to master and the battery life is very good. I was planning on getting an adapter but haven't bothered. The free Winnie the Pooh game is excelent (from Argos) and he loves Toy Story and Bob The Builder. We got an extra controller so his 6 year old sister could play (good job we did as she loves it too!). He has learnt to count using Toy Story. It's his birthday soon so we'll be getting him the Thomas the Tank Engine and The Wiggles games....can't wait!
