You get what you pay for
Had I bought this bike in a shop I would have been able to see that the quality of the components was decidedly poor. The bike came scratched. The seat is very uncomfortable. But worst of all, the twist gear shift was so stiff my 9 year old daughter didn't have the strength change gear. No amount of attention could improve matters, and it is a sealed unit.

When we phoned the manufacturer to complain we were told we would have to return the bike to Amazon. Given that it came in many different parts, carefully packaged to fit in the box, this would be very difficult to achieve.

I should have checked that it had Shimano gears - these always seem to work well.

Very disappointed.
