Manufacturer's Description
Ceramic egg-shaped mortar and pestle with beech handle.
"Ever since I put the mixing bowls in my kitchen I've been desperate for a pestle and mortar in the same softly bulging ovoid shape. This is as much a kitchen installation as a beautifully workable kitchen implement." --Nigella Lawson

All Style No Substance
Great looking piece of kit, was well pleased with it when I took it out of the box. It survived a few grindings of pepper corns and coriander seeds but first time it took a slight pounding while making pesto the whole thing shattered. If you're after a pretty bit of decor for your kitchen this will look lovely but don't bother trying to do any prep or cooking with it and get something that is actually useable. Very disappointing.
