Excellent knives, shame about the block5
I've had this knife set for about a month now. I'm no professional chef, but i enjoy cooking. I wanted a reasonable set of knives that were strong, easy to sharpen and attractive. I didn't want to remortgage the house for them either.
These knives deliver on all accounts. They are great to use, easy to sharpen (I brought a sharpening tool in addition to the blade that comes with the set, as i'm not good at sharpening with blades.) The knives are of a very high quality, well balanced and incredibly tough. I'd strongly recomend them.
The only down fall is the knife block. It seems a little cheap, like it doesn't belong with the knife set. I suppose they had to skrimp on the block to save money to deliver the knives at a reasonable price.
Don't get me wrong it does the job, but it just looks and feel like a shoddily made afterthought. That's just my personnal view.
I brought some magnetic strips from my local tesco's and now have the knives on proud display in my kitchen.
In conclusion, a great set, very well made and very reasonable. Just a shame about the block. You wont be disappointed if you buy them.

I bought these knives for my mother to replace the random set she normally used and they are so much sharper and effective than the others ever were. I would highly recommend!!
