Happy
We are really pleased with our first Dyson, it really does the job! I find it easy to use and fold up, with the filter - it doesn't give out that musty smell, easy (but slightly messy) to empty the dust cannister and it is really satisfying to be able to see the amount of dirt that it has picked up. It's frightening to see that the carpet can get so dirty in a couple of days!

We've given it one star less than perfect because of its weight - it feels quite a lot heavier than our old compact cleaner so not as easy to lift or wheel about. Slightly harder to store due to its shape.

DIFFERENT CLASS
This is my first Dyson vacuum cleaner and it is by far the best I have ever used. The suction is incredibly powerful and the amount of tiny dust particles and fluff it picks up illustrates what normal vacuums do not pick up. My carpets actually look significantly cleaner after just a few uses. One slight snag is that the hose does tend to kink quite easily, which is a bit of a design flaw, but overall this is a very well engineered product with excellent performance.

Wonderful, but the static is serious
It works very well, is versatile, has a lot of power and excellent filtration. In short, I love this vacuum- but should a vacuum generate so much static electricity? Both myself and my girlfriend have used it a few times, and we get very powerful static shocks from the hose and nozzle as it is used on a nylon carpet - basically the moving parts in the head generate static that isn't earthed until it touches your leg or your hand. Fine if I wear rubber soled shoes and rubber gloves - and fine on solid floors. If it was earthed better, I'd give it 5 stars.
