Manufacturer's Description
| AV Mode LG TVs have 3 special preset AV Modes which provide the best suitable image quality and sound for specific types of content. They are easily accessible using the AV MODE hot key on the remote control. |
| | |
| Invisible Speaker Wide Sweet Spot - The front bezel works as a speaker, replacing the normal speaker grill. With the Invisible Speaker system, the speakers are embedded in strategic spots underneath and around the front bezel. This new speaker system provides a clean and fashionable design compared with traditional side or bottom speaker designs. | |
| Clear Voice Sometimes when watching films it is difficult to hear human voices over the background sounds of their environment, due to the down-mixing that occurs to push 5.1 surround-sound through a TV’s 2 channel speaker system. The Clear Voice feature alters the sound balance to emphasise human voices and reducing the background noise All input source (RF/AV/Component/HDMI) as well as Stereo and Mono broadcast can be controlled by Clear Voice. | |
| Simplink LG’s SIMPLINK system can control all the connected AV devices with one remote control. By pressing the SIMPLINK remote control key, you can switch on and control all devices connected by HDMI. When the TV is switched off, all connected AV devices are automatically switched off as well. |

Cracking LCD TV
I've had this TV for about 6 weeks and although I have connected it to an arial I primarily use it with a Humax PVR set top box. Its performance with both is excellent and it looks great. The best bit is when we connected it to an up-scaling DVD player via the HDMI lead, the quality of standard DVD's is brilliant.
When in use via freeview the menus load very quickly and are very straightforward to use. The set up is simple and take about an hour from opening the box to having a picture (I don't know about wall mounting though).
We did not want the TV to dominate our room and when the set is turned off it still looks smart and fairly unobtrusive.
All in all we are very pleased.
Excellent...
I have had this item for a month or so and I am very pleased with it. I am currently using the freeview feature which was very easy to set up, well, it sets iteslf up really. I have fixed it to the wall with a bracket purchased through Amazon which cost £30 or thereabouts and I am now watching more TV than I have in years.
My only complaint is that the price has dropped a little since I ordered mine :-(...
It has my unreserved aprobation..

Life's Good with the LG
We were looking for a new TV after the 10+ yr old TV was starting to fall apart. It was between this LG and a 37" Toshiba and after seeing someone get the Toshiba we decided to go for the LG instead. It is nice a slimline compared to the Toshiba and has superior sound quality. The different modes come in useful, especially when watching a DVD. The stand can also swivel 20 degrees either way which I found useful if the TV is in a corner. The size - 37" - I thought was perfect for a small to medium sized room and shows the room up without it being dominating. The picture quality is excellent and the contrast levels are very good. The hidden speaker system I think is the highlight of the TV. Amazon delivery was also very good. Overall, can't fault it!
