The Head! Hit the Head! Smash 'is brains out!
A brilliant game, best played with the maximum 6 players (or you can get away with more with the expansion sets). The aim of the game is to either escape the city via the helipad or kill an elected amount of zombies before anyone else does, a lot easier said than done! Especially with all of your friends trying at every moment to stop each other from doing so via an item/event card system containing all manner of weapons and nasty things you can make happen to your, up until very recently, "friends". The game system itself is incredibly simple which keeps games zooming along, but highly effective. The card system means you really do have to plan out what you're going to be doing in a couple of turns, as you can only play one card per turn. This means that each player gets a certain amount of input as to how they will act and you're bound to see some new sides to your friends! Especially after they send 10 zombies to block your path to freedom with an evil, evil grin on their faces. And you just know they've got the zombie smashing skateboard/fireaxe combo. Worthy of note as well is the map system, each game the map tiles are shuffled and placed one per player turn, so you never quite know what's going to be around the corner and it also ensures that no two games will be the same.
I've entered an educational value for Zombies!!! as it will inevitably get the players thinking about Z day and how they will deal with it, a situation with which I'm fairly certain the majority of the public have never given any thought. Preperation, preperation, preperation. It's coming baby, I've got my tank. Have you?
What Fun!! The most hystericallly funny game I've played!
Zombies!!! what's it all about? Well the name says it all. You are trapped in a city filled with Zombies!!! and you and your friends have to fight your way out to the helipad to escape (or kill 25 zombies) to win. Oh and you have to foil your friends in the process!! What a laugh!!
The game is simplicity itself, the rules are short, concise and not really open to interpretation (although you always get one who'll say well it says this, but it don't say that).
To setup the game takes a matter of a minute, once your off, you are on a thrill ride of laughter and hysterics as you place map tiles and move about the city trying to kill as many Zombies!!! as you can before the helipad is placed. Then once it turns up, racing to be the 1st one to the centre sqaure to win.
As a 2 player game, this is hilarious, however with more players the city is genereated quicker(obviously) and there are more "Event" cards floating around to be played against and by your opponents. At times it will be almost impossible to stay upright as you laugh at what event cards are played against you and you play against your openents, to foil them in their moment of triumph. The strange sound of "geez how many Zombies!!" will become a regular occurance as the city unfolds.
This is a Great game, lots of fun and easy to play, easy to set up and easy to clear away. A great evening in to be had with friends. There are several expansions that can be added to make the game more exiting and introduce different scenario's of play.
All in all, the best board game I've bought, I can't remember laughing so much playing a boardgame before, this will become a regular fixture in my weekly calendar if I'm not careful.
:)
A little hint, it's worth while buying a "Bag 'o Zombies!!!" to go with the game as you may end up running out of the 100 that are included during a long game(you'll see what I mean about "Geez how many Zombies!!!).
The best board game ever
This is the best board game I have ever played. If you are a fan of zombie movies like "Dawn of the Dead", then you will love this. Best played with more than 2 players, you are racing against each other to kill as many zombies as you can, and escaping the zombie infested town via the helipad. There are health tokens and bullets to collect along the way, which is lucky because you will need as much help as you can get. The special event cards are great, as you can add hordes of fresh zombies to surround a rival player, or double your ammo. Fantastic fun and better than sitting round the telly all night.
