Excellent intro to photography
I haven't been in a dark room for ten years since going digital but this brought it all back. I used it with my boys, aged 5.5 and 7.5. They enjoyed assembling the camera and dark room and then spent three hours running back and forth taking pictures and developing them. It was wonderful to see them discovering the joy of making an image and watching the magic of developing. The camera held together well without glue. We just made sure the joins were tight when we loaded it in the dark room. They had no problems following the safety precautions for handling the chemicals and had a terrific time. Our first few didn't come out as we over exposed them but that created a challenge to keep them going and try again. Now we just need some more paper...
