My 2yo won't be parted from it4
Yes the song's annoying. Yes it is very plasticky but my 2yo loves it and carries it around a lot. It's a bit awkward to get the stuff in and out of it but if you're 2, then it's fabulous...

Reasons why the Dora the Explorer Talking Backpack wasn't a hit with us...1

1) It's not a backpack. It's a chunky plastic box with a small opening at the top. It's completely useless.

2) The 4 items that are provided with the backpack are basically chunky plastic with stickers on. Really not terribly exciting.

3) It is very difficult, in fact impossible for a two year old, to get the chunky plastic items in and out of the small opening in the chunky plastic backpack.

4) It's hugely overpriced for what it is. I am sure if you took away the Dora the Explorer packaging you could pick up something similar in any Pound Shop.

Sorry to be so negative. On the plus side, it did make all the other presents this Christmas seem splendid!

Aghhhhhhhh1
A "friend" bought this for my two year old daughter. It is pretty indestuctable and pretty useless. All it does is sing "Backpack, backpack, backpack, backpack". To be honest I have already kicked it across the room, unfortunately it sought revenge by constantly shrieking "backpack, backpack, backpack, backpack" from the boot of the car next time we went on a long journey. On your sanity be it.
