Perfect gift for a 6 year old boy5
6th birthday gift that DS received. This was brilliant and kept him entertained for hours. There is something that really appeals to a 6 year old about playing the paleontologist (sp?) using tools to excavate ancient fossils from a dinosaur poo! They also get to make & paint their own fake fossils (plaster of Paris). He spent 2 whole mornings entirely absorbed in this!

INCLUDED: 'dinosaur poo' (basically plaster of Paris type stuff in a poo shape containing 4 plastic fossils (2 teeth, one velociraptor claw, one sea-dinosaur jawbone) to excavate), plastic hammer, chisel-like tool and brush, safety specs, instructions and info booklet, plaster of Paris powder, rubber mould, 3 small pots of paint, glue (to glue the halves of the PofP fake fossils together)
NOT INCLUDED: something to cover your floor with (excavations are messy), water, spoon to measure water and PofP, knife to smooth the top of the PofP in the moulds - that's pretty much it.

Excellent kit, well worth the money, and a great wet-day-in-the-summer-holiday activity. The info leaflet if great, and you can read as much as fits your child's level of interest/ sophistication. Highly recommended.

We like this range, but they really vary in value for money. (The Weird Worms set, for example, though fun, is not worth the expense.)
