Synopsis

a good comedy that's rough around the edges
I'm hesitant to use the phrase 'indie-gem' because it's misleading. Such films are always so incredibly flawed and this is no exception - the low-budget nature (poor soundtrack, dodgy picture, static nature) are unavoidable. That said, the film has a certain charm - mostly thanks to some great lines and the work of the 4 principle actors (special credit to John Simm for dominating the film with a relatively lightweight supporting role). As with other 'indie-gems' (Clerks and Swingers being obvious inspirations) your enjoyment of the film comes down to whether you can see past the shoestring budget.
