INPORTANT NOTE ::: Please make sure your Mac has Mini DisplayPort and not Mini DVI ...
PLEASE NOTE :: " Mini DisplayPort " is NOT the same as " Mini DVI " !!! :::: Its is extremely common for folks to buy the wrong adapter and need to return or exchange despite the *** warnings *** in the product info above (I guess folks read reviews more than product info) ... so if you are not sure which Mac port you have, please read the following info and also the product info as it may help !!!

As it says in the product description ::: This "Mini DisplayPort" adapter is used to " Connect new generation Apple MacBook, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air with Mini Displayport " . This is for newer generation Macs from late 2008 onwards such as the UNIBODY MacBook and MacBook Pro and AIR ... also the newer iMacs.

Most slightly older Macs (Including MacBook, MacBook Pro and Air ... UP TO late 2008) have a different, slightly bigger but similar looking port called " Mini DVI " and this is NOT the same as " Mini DisplayPort " ... and will not fit.

There are also a couple of other, less common adapters that Apple used briefly... one is called "Mini VGA" (found on older Macs) and another is called " Micro DVI " (found on the MacBook Air for one year only) ... these are far less common but still get confused. ( Even Apple can give the wrong advise (eg: telling customers that Mini VGA is Mini DVI but an older version so folks go looking for an older Mini DVI which does not exist ))

The bottom line is to be sure and check your port before buying ... and if in any doubt, please contact Neet Cables via ' contact seller ' on Amazon.

Simply Amazing!!
WOW!! is all I can say about this product, especially at that price, a real bargain in my opinion. I have tried some other HDMI adapters available in the market which are cheaper then this, but this is undoubtedly the best!

Watching 1080p movies through this adapter is simply fab. You will be amazed with the picture quality of this in comparison with the standard VGA connection. I have this adapter set up through to my 42" Full HD TV, and the picture quality is unbelievable. Even if your playing a game through this, you'll notice a considerable difference in the overall dynamics of the picture.

People have concerns over the Mini Display Port which doesn't output audio signal along with video through the HDMI connection. However, I don't see that as an issue at all, since all you really need is a 3.5 mm jack (male) to 3.55 mm jack (male) cable to output sound to the TV, which won't cost you more than a couple of pounds, in case you don't own one already!

Conclusion:
A must buy for anyone looking to get the best picture quality out of their mac's through a HD TV. You no longer need to worry about setting up a MiniDisplayPort - DVI - HDMI.

Brilliant little product, i originally bought the VGA adapter but my Sony Bravia only supports low res in VGA so this was the next best thing and despite not being made by apple it is a million times better than the VGA adapter, amazing resolution looks even better than the actual screen of my MacBook Pro 13". With this piece of kit you can have your external display either mirror your screen or act as an extension, for example you could have all your photoshop tool bars on the laptop screen but the photos your are editing up on the TV.

Another feature this adapter allows is for you to have the lid on your macbook closed but the screen displayed on your HD TV (perfect for watching films), apple say you can only operate this way if you have an external mouse or keyboard attached to the macbook but a little tip to get around this is to attach the adapter to the TV, close the lid of your macbook then simply press a button on your apple remote. your TV should then display your macbook screen.
