	Blade Runner [HD DVD] [1982] [US Import] Buy used from: £9.90 Everything you've heard about this HD and BLU RAY issue is true. The clarity and the sheer scope and vision of the sets blows you away every time. The extras are off the charts too. A Blush response.
	Ray [HD DVD] [2004] Buy used from: £2.95 This was the first HD disc I saw and I couldn't believe the clarity. The second it becomes available on Blu Ray - buy it. It's also the business as a movie.
	Seabiscuit [HD DVD] [2003] [US Import] Buy used from: £4.46 I own this on HD and like "Ray" it has truly gob-smacking picture quality - and is also a little gem of a film.
	The Holiday [HD DVD] [2006] Buy used from: £4.40 Fluff for sure - but beautifully filmed and hugely entertaining fluff. Picture quality is fantastic.
	Pride and Prejudice HD-DVD Buy used from: £3.15 Another HD-only release at present, but it's a beauty. Far better picture quality than the DVD version. Keira & MacFadden ate up the roles. Contains the awful alternate ending because it's US.

	French Connection [Blu-ray] [1971] Buy new: £14.98 / Used from: £8.99 Bad, bad, bad. A gritty masterpiece given an awful blurry transfer. French Connection II is far better though picture-wise and a sequel almost equal to its original. I've reviewed both on Blu Ray.

	How The West Was Won [Blu-ray] [1963] Buy new: £9.98 / Used from: £10.99 A 1963 big-budget sprawling waste of space Western. Beautifully restored picture, but for me - a God awful movie. See review...
	Bleak House (BBC) [Blu-ray] [2005] Buy new: £13.48 Another peerless BBC adaptation of a Dickens masterpiece - filmed in HD with a brilliantly diverse cast and period accuracy. A 3 disc set with fantastic detail in every frame.
	Pride And Prejudice [Blu-ray] [1995] by Pride and Prejudice Buy new: £12.48 The classic 6-episode British TV series was looking washed out and tired - this restoration has lifted the print so much. A great buy and one you'll dip into for years to come.
	Pinocchio [Blu-ray] [1940] Buy new: £10.88 / Used from: £12.99 In truth I've never really liked the film (all that moralizing crap) but the BLU RAY version is simply awesome. Frame-by-frame immaculate restoration of old-school artwork. Jaw-dropping.
	WALL-E [Blu-ray] [2008] Buy new: £10.98 / Used from: £9.12 As parents we watched the DVD of this numerous times; but the BLU RAY is a revelation - detail you simply can't believe. Cars and Monsters, Inc are the same. Perfection on this format.
	Shall We Dance? [Blu-ray] [2004] Buy new: £9.98 A sweetheart of a film and the BLU RAY version has fantastic colour, details and good extras. See detailed review...
