Balanzza is the innovative, easy to use digital luggage scale which allows travellers to quickly and easily check their luggage weight, so there are no nasty surprises at check-in. Simply place your bag or suitcase on the strap and lift from the ground until the beep sounds. The weight will then be clearly displayed on the screen, ready for you to start your travels secure in the knowledge you’re not going to incur extra costs before you’ve even left the UK! The Balanzza is compact, lightweight and weighs in both kilograms and pounds up to 44kg (100lbs), far exceeding any airline baggage allowance. It has a large easy-read digital display, strong handle and is accurate to within 0.1 kilograms.

The balanzza digital luggage scale comes with a large digital display for easy reading. The automatic hold feature on the display allows you to lift the luggage, set it down on the floor and then read the weight. An integrated strong strap secures the luggage to the scale and means NO DANGEROUS HOOKS. The balanzza luggage scale also has other uses including parcel and postage, outdoor activities and fishing.

Easy four step process:

Calibrating your Balanzza
When to calibrate: Calibration may be required when it is initially installed, if the mini scale is moved to a substantial distance. This is necessary because the weight of a mass in one location is not necessarily the same in another location. Also, with time and use, mechanical deviations may occur.

How to calibrate

1. Before entering calibration mode, press on to turn the power on for 1minutes.
2. Enter calibration mode Press on to turn the power off. Press [Reset] first, then Press on, while keeping pressing [Reset], the display will show the A/D value.
3. Calibration by the weight Wait for the stable value to be displayed, Press on the display will show "0", after 2 seconds, the display will show calibration weight value.
4. Place the calibration weight on platform. After the stable value is displayed, then press on, the display will show "CAL", after 2 seconds, the displayed will return to "PASS" and then return to A/D value, now calibration is finished.
5. Press on, turn off the power, press on turn on the power again, place the weight on the platform to make sure whether weighing is correct, if not, repeat steps 2-5.
6. Return to weighing mode Press on to turn the power off. Press on again to turn on the power and the scale return to the weighing mode.

Weighing
Before weighing: Whenever possible, please allow the scale to warm up for 30 seconds after first turning the power on so that the scale will function properly and accurately.

Weighing procedures:

1. Press the on button to turn On the scale; and hold it for 3 seconds to turn Off the scale. When power is turned on, all display segments appear on LCD for a few seconds and finally "0" will appear on the display.
2. Select the weighing unit with [UNIT]. Press [UNIT] to select a weighing unit: "kg" or "lb". Once the unit has been selected, the selected unit will be displayed above the weight value.
3. Start weighing.
   • If you do not use a container for weighing:
     * Verify the reading is "0". If not, press on to display "0".
     * Place objects on the weighing strap to weigh.
     * Lift the object from the ground until hearing the beep sound, this indicates that the weight has been locked and displayed. Set the object down, and read the weight.
   • If you use a bag or other container for weighing:
     * Place an empty container on the strap and proceed to weigh it. Wait for the stability weighing value to be displayed and press on to display "0".
     * Place the objects to be weighted in the container.
     * Lift the object from the ground until hearing the beep sound, this indicates that the weight has been locked and displayed. Set the object down, and read the weight.

How to Clean and Maintain your Balanzza

The only moving part of your Balanzza is the handle, this piece is critical for the strength and durability of the scale, it contains an internal metal rail that needs to be clean if any element makes its way in it, please proceed with this steps in case you need to detach the handle for cleaning or if you need to put it back.

How to Detach the Handle:

1. Turn the handle 90 degrees with the scale. The rails of the handle will become aligned with the internal screws of the scale. (Figure A)
2. Turn the scale diagonally keeping the handle at 90 degrees in order to retract the scale from the handle.
3. Remove any dirt or object that might have gotten stuck on the handle. DO NOT USE WATER.

How to Reattach the Handle:

1. Align the scale with the handle at 90 degrees.
2. Rotate the scale diagonally till the internal screws enter the handle rails.
3. Turn the handle to closed position by applying pressure at the screw levels.

Warning

1. The screen can stop functioning properly if mistreated or hit.
2. If the strap shows any signs of wear and/or break please stop using the Balanzza.
3. When collapsing the handle please do not have your fingers or hand between the handle.
4. When lifting the object with Balanzza please use the same precautions as any other object, the use of the Balanzza does not increase your strength or decreases the weight of the object.
5. When securing the strap, please keep your fingers outside the clip.
6. Do not leave the batteries inside the Balanzza for long periods of time without use.

Hi purchased these luggage scales recently for a holiday to orlando florida.They were absolutely brilliant,very easy to use and accurate.We used them on the journey home to make sure we were not carrying too much hold or hand luggage, which in todays climate where air carriers are eager to screw every penny from passengers for excess luggage they were invaluable

WONDERFUL PRODUCT
I PURCHASED THIS PRODUCT 3 DAYS BEFORE I WENT ON HOLIDAY AS I WAS GOING WITH A NO FRILLS AIRLINE AND THEY WANTED £10 PER KILO EXCESS BAGGAGE. AS I HAVE A THREE YEAR OLD I TEND TO TAKE TOO MANY THINGS WITH US AND END UP OVER WEIGHT AT THE CHECKIN EVERY TIME. WHEN I SEEN THIS ITEM I THOUGHT I WOULD GIVE IT A TRY AND I AM GLAD I DID, NO MORE EXCESS BAGGAGE CHARGES FOR ME. IT IS SO SIMPLE TO USE AND YOU CAN TAKE IT WITH YOU FOR YOUR RETURN JOURNEY (JUST REMOVE THE BATTERY) IT IS SO SMALL AND COMPACT IT TAKES UP NO ROOM AT ALL.

Does precisely what it's supposed to do.
Previous reviews sum things up pretty well. Simple to use. The fact that the weight is displayed after putting the item down is a great improvement over using conventional spring balance and attempting to read it 'loaded'.
When I first used it I had the peculiar experience of the scale displaying exactly the same weight for a bag twice, but when I removed items the weight actually increased!!
I've used it again since, over a number of days, and now the weight remains consistent. I can only put it down to the scale 'setting down'.
Airport scales confirmed the accuracy of the Balanzza Scale. My home measurement gave 19.7kg and the airport scales 20.0kg. I don't think that is a significant difference. Also no recurrence of the bag being heavier after items removed.
