Customer Reviews
Fear Factory top off their career with a fantastic E.P
The Australian Tour Edition E.P could be called a single also, as it contains both the original version of "Linchpin" and the video for it. It also has the excellent new track "Frequency" (produced by the band themselves) and two tracks originally recorded for a game, "Demolition Racer" and "Machine Debaser". It also contains a disappointing remix of the track "Invisible Wounds" and two excellent live tracks in the form of classics "Replica" and "Edgecrusher". As aforementioned it contains the somewhat confusing video for "Linchpin" and the entertaining "Making of Digimortal" video series. Both can be veiwed on your computer.
I highly recommend this E.P. It's good for newcomers to get into, it's a somewhat rare collectable for um, collectors and it's VERY CHEAP AND VERY GOOD. To paraphrase the late Jesus "Buy this in memory of Fear factory".
Fear Factory Still Have It!!!!
After 10 years Fear Factory have come a long way. In that time they have produced 6 studio albums and have toured the world. And also over that period their music has evolved into the excellent work you see today on Linchpin and their latest album "Digimortal". Although Demanufacture set the standard for all thrash/industrial rock at that period, Linchpin is clearly one of their greatest songs combining Raymonds hard hitting, fast pased drumming, Dino's electrifying guitars, Christians excellent bass lines and Burton's raw, lyrics which still show their bleak outlook on the future and our eventual slavery to the machines. Linchpin was a great choice to release and the video is superb
