Does the job
Although the microphone looks large, the only part that shows is the small clip, which looks just like a pen clip. For covert recording this is just the job.

The on/off switch is not easy to use. If you turn it too far anticlockwise to turn it off, the battery falls out.

Adequately sensitive.

Poor gain
Tried this for narrating Camtasia screen capture recordings; the level it produces is too low in my opinion.

use of tiepin mike
I am currently using the tiepin mike as a pick up for my mandolin and find it gives an excellent acoustic sound to the amplification.
