Synopsis
Four features including 'The Incredibles', 'Monsters Inc.', 'A Bug's Life' and 'Finding Nemo'. In 'The Incredibles' the Parr family, former super heroes, live the life of 'normal' civilians, hiding their special abilities. When the head of the household Bob receives an invitation to a secret meeting on a remote island, the family finds itself on the front line once again only this time, fighting to save the world.

BE WARNED...
No problem at all with the movies themselves but buyers should be aware that 'Monsters Inc' is supplied in a 1.33:1, standard 4x3 TV format. This is a bit odd for a so called "Collector's Set" and extremely disappointing for everyone who enjoys watching movies on their widescreen TVs. This could be a genuine mistake on the part of the distributor, and if so I hope they will rectify it quickly, but you have to wonder if they just have a warehouse full of old 4:3 discs they want to shift. While I'm moaning, 'A Bugs Life' is also an old double-sided disc that you have to flip over half-way through.

You may not think these things are a major problem but if you love these movies, as I do, and respect the incredible amount of effort that went into making them, then you really want to enjoy them at their very best. I think it's fair to expect an "Ultimate Collection" to deliver just that and this set doesn't.

I would recommend delaying purchase until the distributor corrects this.

Great box set
This is a great box set and a valuable addition to anyone's dvd collection. the only downfall is that Monsters Inc. isn't in wide-screen format, but still a great movie.

A Bug's Life is a double sided dvd with two formats on each side, either wide-screen or standard tv (4x3). The movie is not split over the two sides like other reviewers claim and there is no need to flip it over just to clarify.

I would have like Toy Story to be included but since it has it's own box set and Toy Story 3 is due in the future I'll wait.

None of these movies need any introduction. The best animated movies in recent years.
Amazon had made a mistake of the number of discs you get with this. You get the 2 disc collector's editions of "Finding Nemo" and "the Incredibles" - which my opinion justifies the cost of this package alone. You also get single discs of "Bugs'Life" and "Monsters Inc". In total you get 6 discs!! These 4 titles should be on anyone's DVD collection especially if you have kids.
