Synopsis
THE 7 HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE is recognised as one of the most influential books ever written. In this seminal work, Stephen R. Covey presents a holistic, integrated, principle-centred approach for solving personal and professional problems. With penetrating insights and pointed anecdotes, Covey reveals a step-by-step pathway for living with fairness, integrity, honesty and human dignity - principles that give us the security to adapt to change, and the wisdom and power to take advantage of the opportunities that change creates. The 7 Habits have become so famous because they work. From Habit 1: Be Proactive and Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind, millions of people have worked their way through the 7 and found in them a key to transforming their lives. Translated into thirty-four languages THE 7 HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE has been the key to the success of legions of business leaders and individuals the world over.

Customer Reviews

one of the most boring cd's i have ever attempted to listen too!1
I was very dissappointed with this cd, considering the good reports from the book (which i have not read) i was quite excited when i got the cd home and was looking forwards to listening too it. But my excitement soon turned to disbelieve though as i attempted to get "into it" i just couldn't beleive how boring it was, both stephen covey's voice (as someone else has already pointed out!) and the layout of the information presented on the cd, which i actually thought at times came across as quite patronising and utter rubbish! it reminded me of one of my university lecturers who's lesson we all used to fall to sleep in! and like a badly put together presentation (as someone else has also pointed out) and not a motivational tool for improvement, it just seemed never ending and drowned on and on! i didn't even make it to the end of the cd as it was just so boring! and i can honestly say i haven't learned a single thing from it. I can't comment on the book, but would definatly stick to that as an alternative! all i can say is hurrah for Tony Robbins!!

Success methods?!5
I could say that this is an essential tool in the vast search for success. I have implemented and kept these habits in my life not only in business but in many other aspects.
Points which we all innately know, just nice to hear a clerical view.

An invitation to read the book4
I read the book some years ago. It seemed to make sense but didn't stick by me. However, when you hear Covey and his stories, it is more convincing then print. When I have the time I'll pick the book up again. Covey's voice and tone are not the most entertaining but the clear presentation of ideas and his stories make up for this.

This isn't an audio book. It is more like a speech with some comments and music in between to cut it up in chapters. If I buy an e-book it's because I want to hear it while doing other stuff. The CD contains one track of approx 70 minutes. Several tracks so you it would be easier to pick up where you left before would be better.
