Editorial Reviews

CD Description
Following on from the US number one selling 2003 release 'Chocolate Factory', R. Kelly returns with this his seventh studio album. Featuring a whole host of producers and guest vocalists including The Game, Snoop Dogg, and Twista, the album features R. Kelly's signature smooth and sexy R&B sound. Also included is the six part radio soap opera 'Trapped In The Closet', which Kelly described as "a ghetto Desperate Housewives".

Customer Reviews

r kelly at his best5
when people came to me and said r kelly's last albums (happy people/u saved me & chocolate factory) werent his usual standard, i replied his next release will be huge.....and i wasnt wrong! from the opening track with the game on playaz only u kno u have ur hands on a monster. follow that up with snoop on summertime straight after and some slow jams and u know r kelly been in the studio in the early hours working his socks off. throw in appearences by elephant man on reggae bump bump, nivea on touchin, birdman on girls go crazy, wysen and yindell on burn it up, and more slow jams in between u probably think it cant get any better than this...this album is well good!
thats when he hits u with the 5 part story trapped in the closet, showing his experimentation of wordplay and yet also successfully portraying a story which arises in everyday life (most of it of corse....i mean its just a story isnt it?) after one listen u will be addicted to this album like an afrodisiac, and by the end of week u might need another copy of the album as u have listened to it continous for the past couple of days. if there's an essential purchase for anybody this yr, its this album (along wit the dvd wit the trapped in the closet chapters 1-5....i would tell u bout it but i dont wanna spoil anything now do i). like me mum says about things ur not sure of....u duno wat its like until u try it, so try it people and get this album

Emotional Stuff5
R Kelly's latest and greatest album contains not only the expected party classics (that'll fill any dancefloor!), but also slow moving, heart felt ballads. In my opinion it is these more intimate tracks that are the highlight of a superb album. I have been moved to tears by many of the ballads, and, despte repeated listens, still feel myself welling up as 'the big R' reveals his sensitive side. A beautiful, beautiful album. I cannot reccomend it highly enough. (Shame there is no 6 star award!!!)

Wow!!5
If people were worried that R-Kelly's trial would affect his musical performances, boy were they wrong. This album is purely amazing. I would buy it alone for the 5 part 'Urban soap opera'- Trapped in the closet, this album is R-kelly at his pure best! THE LEGEND IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
