Customer Reviews

Amazing ending to an amazing series5
After the brilliantly-shocking "A Warlock in Whitby", I wasn't sure if Robin Jarvis could possibly create another hit and cap off the series well. Boy was I in for a shock. "The Whitby Child" is not only longer and more intense than both of its predecessors, it is better than both combined! With new terrifying monsters keeping the story alive, and the arrival of Crozier's Coven at last, this final installment is an excellent excercise in the macabre. With more twists than before, and some nice scenes (as well as a heart-breaking, well-written ending that manages to steer clear of cheese territory), this is a brilliant last book. May Robin Jarvis continue to write forever!

Brilliant5
One starting to read these books I couldn't put them down. I found each book more exciting and intreaging than the last. I read these books after reading his Deptford Mice Trillogy a little unsure about whether he could write anything as good as them. Everything I have read by him has been an excellent read and I truly recomend these books to both adults and children!!
Happy reading

A moving and exciting tale up to the very last page!5
As the third part of the Whitby series, I would say it is more action packed and twisted than even the previous two books! All your favourite characters from the series are in it and towards the end you begin to think that the aufwader tribe are doomed to extinction because of the shameful curse put on them so many years ago. I won't tell what happens but you really should read to find out. It is a very tearful ending and definitely not a let down, although in the very end something a tad unreal occurs, which I personally found stupid. You won't be able to put this winner of a book down, so go on and read it NOW!
